[…] One of program’s tasks this past summer was to write an essay titled “The Legacy of Liberation.” Syracuse University’s Impunity Watch Law Group, after recognizing Katie’s outstanding effort, presented an award to her at Chautauqua Institute during the foundation’s International Humanitarian Law Dialogs. Her essay having been published on the Institute’s website, Katie was personally congratulated by seven of the world’s leading human rights prosecutors.
